INTRODUCTION
Moscow Institute of Entrepreneurship and Law (MIPP) was established in 1991 to offer courses at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels and conduct research across the full spectrum of academic activity related to entrepreneurship. MIPP provides the students with a rich and diverse learning environment that ensures opportunities for both intellectual development and the acquisition of professional knowledge and skills.
Presently, MIPP has a total enrollment of 11 thousand students in 18 regional branches and Moscow providing training to an increasingly diverse student body, also incorporating international students.
MIPP actively promotes links with society through existing university-industry partnerships, courses that cater to societal demands, lifelong learning opportunities for members of society. The alumni network is part of this program, enabling the transfer of skills and information from generation to generation of students and academics, fostering communication and expanding students’ employability.
Following state-developed programs MIPP pursues a broad-based model of education which provides students with a solid foundation for their future intellectual development. All students study foreign languages and IT technologies to get equipped with the tools to understand the changing world. Much attention is paid to interdisciplinary studies and activity based teaching methods. All programs use Russian as a medium of instruction.
Our standard policy is that research outcomes should be made public when appropriate and whenever possible. Annually, MIPP holds an international conference on entrepreneurship where students, faculty members and academia are expected to give presentations and submit their findings for publication.
Strong emphasis is placed on international activities to build links at all levels of research and education – interfaculty, interdisciplinary – with other universities both in Russia and abroad. Active site of cooperation has been established with German partners.
According to bilateral cooperation agreements there are plans to establish dual degree programs with a number of foreign universities in business studies and project management. The content and organization of these dual degree programs is under discussion with the partner universities.
